Unlike a traditional coaxial speaker with the tweeter mounted directly to the woofer, the RLM69 features separate 6x9" woofer/midrange drivers, independent 1" tweeters, and external crossovers. This component design provides greater flexibility when positioning the tweeters, allowing installers to optimize high-frequency placement and create a more defined soundstage.

True 2-Way Component Design

Separating the woofer/midrange and tweeter allows each driver to focus on its intended frequency range. The included external crossovers properly distribute frequencies between the drivers for smooth, balanced sound reproduction.

Independent tweeter placement also gives you greater control over high-frequency direction and imaging compared with a conventional coaxial installation.

Pressed-Pulp & Cotton Fiber Cone

The RLM69 6x9" woofer/midrange drivers feature a pressed-pulp cone reinforced with cotton fibers, providing a combination of low mass, rigidity, and natural sound reproduction.

A powerful 22 oz ferrite magnet provides the motor strength needed for controlled cone movement and solid mid-bass performance.

Dedicated 1" Mylar Tweeters

Separate 1" Mylar tweeters reproduce frequencies up to 20,000 Hz, adding clarity and detail to vocals, instruments, and the upper end of your music.

Because the tweeters are independent from the 6x9" drivers, they can be positioned separately to improve high-frequency direction and overall sound staging.
